Miguelturra’s carnival is probably the most important festivity in this city. This carnival is declared of Regional Touristic Interest. Among all the celebrations of carnival that we can find in the province, this one stands out because of some characters such as the street mask, who is the main essence of the carnival. This character makes some jokes as he walks the streets of the city on his own, with a couple or maybe in groups with the intention of disturb and play with neighbours and tourists. The most important thing is that nobody knows who is behind that mask, and before starting his joke, this character asks people if they know him. Also, during this incredible day, a lot of contests and parades are celebrated with a great number of costumes.
