The groves of the river Milagro are one of the most admirable Natural Heritage Sites of Retuerta del Bullaque, as there has never been any human intervention in this natural space; its ecological value, therefore, is spectacular.

It has an interesting flora made up of fluvial tree and shrub galleries, marshy herbaceous formations, amphibious communities, and aquatic communities of seasonal wetlands.

With regard to the fauna, there are all kinds of animals, including otters, wildcats, Iberian lynxes, goshawks, sparrowhawks, European short-toed snakes, caracaras, red kites, lepid terrapins, pygmy newts and Iberian newts.
