This spectacular natural formation is located near the Cortijo del Alhorín, which gives it its name, in the central area of the Alcudia Valley, overlooking one of the banks of the Montoro reservoir. It is a Strombolian eruption volcano with a dome-shaped relief made up of pyroclasts; it is crowned by a small crater, in which different fossilised lava flows of a beautiful reddish ochre colour can be seen.
